  1. Hi there! Are you looking for just art work? Or are you also looking for dance work as well? I have a dance company and have a couple pieces that might work for the venue about women suppression and equality. Please let me know if you’re looking for movement art as well 🙂

    1. Yes! But we cannot mail it back to you, if it is not sold. Is that okay with you? We just don’t have time to mail work back.

  2. I’m a poet and creative non-fiction writer. Works are frameable. “Artist” is not a fully informed term. All of the forms and offshoots of all arts including the most ineffable (music) can be encompassed in some way.

  3. I guess I need to do what is in my head. In fact I can’t think of a better cause. This is my excuse to get busy on it . I have hesitated because it may make a bold social statement . Well maybe it’s time to unlock the door and let the Nasty Woman do some artwork.

    1. Hi Kathryn. Yes it is completely fine for the frame to exceed 12″ x 12″ Even the print itself can be a bit bigger if this makes it easier. Our 12″ x 12″ is a rough guide so that we are not squeezed for space. But it is fine for yours to be bigger. I am so happy that you want to submit!

  4. So exited! Have been wanting to initiate something like this – really thrilled that there is something and I can join in!! One question – must the picture be sent with the submission form? I might not have the work completely done by the submission deadline.

    1. Hi there. No worries. Please submit form and then send picture whenever you can. Or just bring the work to Grand ArtHaus. I trust that the work will be great.

    1. Hi there. This might make things tough for us. Do you have anyone that can pick it up for you? We will have so much to do after the show that I don’t think we can take this extra responsibility on. Sorry.

    1. Hi. It would be helpful if you do fill out three separate forms, but it is not required (one is okay but three is easier for our records).

  7. I noticed that 12×12 is a rough guide. I started working on a piece that is slightly larger before I saw the submission reqs. Will I still be able to submit something?

    Cheers,

  9. LOVE THE CAUSE! I am very nearly finished with a downtrodden Statue of Liberty (will be compete today). Alas, she does not fit your 12 x 12 criteria and is about 7 feet tall, her gown covered with anti-immigrant news articles, her tablet and torch no longer held lofty. Also, she is about 98% (of the visible) made of recycled materials.

    1. Hello. Sounds like a nice piece. Are your willing to drop it off today at ArtHaus and if it does not sell, can you pick up on Sun between noon-4pm? Is it for sale???
